The Firm in it’s bid to foster and drive innovation and contribute to the empowerment of start-ups has recently entered into a collaborative effort with the Lagos chapter of the world’s largest pre-seed business incubator, entrepreneur training and startup launch program, Founder Institute. The Founder institute although based in Silicon Valley, maintains chapters in over 180 cities and over 65 different nations across the globe.
According to one of the Firm’s Partners, Adeniyi Duale “It has become apparent that start-ups are one of the drivers of the ecosystem and with the appropriate structures in place ranging from legal, to corporate to compliance and regulatory affairs, their impact on their economy has been deemed as crucial. The Firm’s collaboration with FI to provide value-driven legal advisory services at such early stages is very much an impactful step in the right direction.
The Firm and the Lagos Founder Institute, will be collaborating to provide resourceful support to the 40+ startups joining each cohort of the navy-seal programme. In addition to providing the support to startup founders in the Lagos Chapter, one of our Partners, Adeniyi Duale and Associate, Chika Oke have also been recruited as Local Mentors for this cohort.
The Founder Institute comprehensive program being the only program of its kind largely focuses on people versus ideas, accepts founders with day jobs, and shares equity with all participants and also provides the "structure, mentor support, and global network of entrepreneurs required to start and develop an enduring company.
